Carrying the Razr Ultra around the mountains of San Rafael, I felt like I was holding a piece of the past along with a vision of the future. The wood finish and titanium frame stand out, though honestly, they felt right at home being surrounded by the trees on the hill. With a best in class cover screen that meant I unfolded my phone less, I was struck by how much Motorola got right.
But every time I tried to push the device further, its limitations reminded me that innovation is always a work in progress. I kept wishing the experience was as seamless as the design.
